Bill Gray was a founder member of our League Management Committee in 1948 and after 32 years service became our Life President until his death in 1993. He donated two trophies to the League on his passing, one for the Player of the Season and one for the Club of the Season.

Club of the Season

This trophy looks at all aspects of a club’s administration and takes significant account of reports forwarded to the League by its Referees, attendance’s at League meetings and lack of League fines – in fact it highlights very seriously a Clubs’ strengths and weaknesses in its administration.

Player of the Season

This is the second of the two trophies the late Bill Gray donated to the League. After every match played in the League, each competing team nominates a man of the match from their opponents. The player who receives most man of the match nominations over the course of the season then becomes Player of the Season.
